Hi, I’m Athen. I am a mix between wolf and turtle. I only have wolf ears and the rest of me is a turtle. The only thing that is different about me is that I am not a normal turtle that has 4 flippers, I have 2 legs like a human and I have 2 flippers. I know what you are thinking. Can I still swim with 2 legs and 2 flippers? The answer is yes, I can swim. It’s actually one of my favorite things to do. Actually, today I am going swimming at a beach. The beach I am going to is my favorite beach. I love it because it has small waves and it is very calm. There are bathrooms and shops all over that have snacks and beach toys. My favorite store is this one that has these really cute erasable pens. I buy one every time I go.

As I arrived, I found a spot near my favorite shop, and then I put my stuff down and went straight to the water. I jumped over a few waves, and then I went a little farther out. As I walked farther out I saw something glowing. I dove under so I could see what it was.

When I swam into it, I saw a whole new world. The new world that I am in is very sparkly and mystical. It seems like the world is from a fairytale book. It is, I know this because as I walk in farther I see a fairy. I hear someone yell: Elli!

Then the fairy “Elli” yelled very high pitched and loud at the sight of me. She said she got scared because she had never seen a turtle like me or any human before, only fairies. I was shocked. But, then I thought about it and it kind of made sense, since the portal was underwater in a saltwater ocean, and if you go under saltwater it usually hurts your eyes after. Anyways, I tried to turn around to go back but the portal was closed. “Elli” said the portal closes after someone walks in and then the fairies have to go through a long process to close it. I said to them that I would help them with the process. They told me I had to be a fairy to close it. So, I became a fairy to help them close it.

After we had closed it I left the fairy island and I told everyone about my experience with fairies. The only problem was, no one believed me. I kept on telling them but they still didn’t believe me.
