I\u2019m sleeping but suddenly I\u2019m nocturnal.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cOh-no!\u201d I say, \u201cI can\u2019t fall asleep!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n I keep trying hard, but I just can\u2019t seem to fall asleep.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n If I can’t sleep, I will get really cranky, I will be really tired, and I won\u2019t be able to go to school tomorrow morning but I really like school.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n I\u2019ve got to do something, or else I won\u2019t be able to enjoy my day tomorrow.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI need help to sleep,\u201d I scream out loud but nobody answers me.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n I think of what to do to make me fall asleep. I try closing my eyes and count to 100 but that doesn\u2019t work. Then I look for my phone to turn on some soft music, but I can’t find my phone. I make an attempt to read a book but the book is too boring.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n I check the time on my clock and it is 1:32.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cOMG!!\u201d I shriek, \u201cIt\u2019s so late, I\u2019ve never been up this late in my whole entire life.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Suddenly, I hear a scary noise of someone gently tiptoeing down the hall, then the door slowly creaking open. I pulled up my covers and hid under them peeking out every few seconds. I thought who it could be, not my mom, not my dad, maybe it was just my brother trying to scare me. <\/span>Yeah well guess what,<\/span><\/i> Jacob. You\u2019re NOT scaring ME today! <\/span><\/i>I thought to myself, laughing quietly. I waited for the door to fully open up but by the time the door opens it is 4:03 .<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n \u201cAhhh-\u201d I scream but then I quickly cover my mouth because the person is definitely not my brother or he would\u2019ve already scared me!<\/span><\/p>\n Terrified, I sprint to my parents room and jump onto their bed! I cuddle in between them and pull the blanket on top of us. The heavy footsteps are thudding closer and closer when suddenly they stop outside the room. I hold my breath, close my eyes tight, and squeeze my parents hands tightly.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The door flings open and the lights flick on. A familiar face comes into sight. As I recover from the light, I can just make out a face with orange glasses, a big bushy beard, and a bald head.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cPops!\u201d I holler with excitement.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cNice to see you, Bud!\u201d Grandpa chuckles, patting my back.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cPops, can I sleep with you today?\u201d I ask hopefully.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cSure thing Nick\u201d He says looking down at me.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n We walk to the guest room and cuddle into the bed.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cCan you tell me a story?\u201d I ask.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cOnce when I was about your age,\u201d Grandpa starts, \u201cI became nocturnal and I couldn\u2019t fall asleep. Then I cuddled with my parents.
